Who Waits is an original that I co-wrote together with Genevieve Hayton, my ex-wife and mother of my youngest son, Luca. She started busting out these amazing lyrics within minutes of me sitting down and showing her the melody and riff. This is one of those songs that nearly fell out of the sky and flowed immediately. It’s so simple, but the palpable beat, deep lyrics and message combined with an epic vocal performance from the incredible Vicci Martinez take this song to the next level. my story
I grew up in Arlington, Washington, the youngest of seven kids in a musical household where instruments were everywhere and creativity wasn’t optional, it was survival.
